The African Astronomical Society (AfAS) is pleased to announce the recipients of the AfAS 2025 Seed Research Grants, an initiative led by the Early Career Researcher Sub-Committee to support postgraduate students and early-career researchers in astronomy.
The Seed Research Grant provides funding of up to €1,200 to support essential research activities, including travel, equipment, and other project-related needs. The programme plays an important role in strengthening research capacity and fostering collaboration across the continent.
The 2025 Seed Research Grant awardees are:

- Said Hmiddouch
- Tilahun Woreta Getachew
