Membership of the African Astronomical Society is open to professional astronomers in Africa and other parts of the world. Professional astronomers are involved in teaching and research in the fields of astronomy and astrophysics. Individual Members are admitted by the Executive Committee upon recommendation from the Membership Committee under the following categories:
